                 Well I only feel in love when I'm loved, not loving. I feel like I'm in the inside of a condition or a space that has a love within it and it makes me happy as happiness for me is the most crucial thing I have to achieve in this wild world. And it's a bullshit if someone does say that happiness is simple because love is not simple. But moreover, it's just because love can not be solid into a physical appereance like words, explaination, even action.

                  Love is an action word. A verb. It's not pasive. To love means to give it. how can we love someone without giving it ? by our stares, our attentions, our words, our hands, our kisses, our hugs; you can name it and those are the best way to make loves touchable- to make it real physically.

                 What makes love different from other feelings is that love is pure. It comes somehow, it goes somehow. It works beyond our expectation, it acts sensationally. It's like has its own guide book, flowing from our deepest undetected feeling. It's all about flowing- from above to below.

                 The pure of the love nowadays fillled by arrogancy and ego. It's still giving, but hoping for feedbacks; like hoping to be friends with the loved one or to be in relationship or even more to be loved back. The love is still pure, but it's now claims for benefits. And what makes it worse is people find it natural. Yet it is natural because people are in need of love and to get it they must loving other first. But that what makes it worse in this race. To get loved you have to love first. It's like I have to pay to get love be
cause shapes of loving can also by spending our money to makes love physical; like giving your girlfriend a flower or new stuffs.

                 In short, it's about people understanding of love. I bet seventh dimension creatures like angels will not agree with this kind of love because God taught us how to love. It was taught in your own belief. He loves you even before you were born. He is still loving you no matter how many times your ass is facing Him. He doesn't ask for feedback. He orders you -to give love to others. Same way He does to you.

                Dr. Brand in Interstellar movie when she and the team were in Ranger rocket said

               "So listen to me when i say that love isn't something that we invented. It's ... observable, powerful. It has to mean something ..Maybe it means something more - something we can't yet understand. Maybe it's some evidence, some artifact of higher dimension that we can't consciously perceive. I'm drawn across the universe to someone i haven't seen in a decade, who I know is probably dead. Love is one thing we're capable of perceiving that transcends dimensions of time and space. Maybe we should trust that, even if we can't understand it." And we all know in the end of the movie love is the one that success their mission to send the quantum data to earth and find a new home for human race.

                Act like that there is nothing to lose in loving someone and you shall be happy.

Article : Evolution to The Christ Level

The Age of Pisces in which the great world Saviour, Christ, arrived, will come to an end with the arrival of the Aquarian Age, as humanity begins our "entrance into heaven" ~ the Spiritual Kingdom.

Christ did his work utilizing the energy of Pisces, the sign of the Fishes. One can easily see the effect of these potent energies, as several of his miracles concerned fish ~ and the symbol used by many Christians is that of the fish.

These forces impacted our work, as well, during the Age of Pisces, as the truth of our essential duality ~ body (form) and soul ~ was revealed. The sign itself shows the linking of the two fishes, as our soul and body are linked. The evolutionary work of this Age has been the lifting of our lower physical nature to that of the soul. Christ, in the Piscean Age, has shown the way ~ the fusion or blending of soul and form to produce the incarnate Christ in all.

The energies of Pisces will recede, as did the energies of Aries some 2200 years ago when we moved into Pisces. We are conscious beings, and as World Servers are aware of this great shift. For it is one thing to be subjected to unknown or unrecognized energies and forces, which typically cause disruptions, upheavals, fear and clinging to the past. Such was the experience for part of humanity as we moved from Aries to Pisces; this led to artificial divisions in spiritual approach and to an energy of separativeness which still plagues our world today.

It is quite another experience to be aware of what is happening. Such awareness will allow us to prepare and work with these potent energies, opening the door to our evolution in the new age. And this new age draws near, the Age of Aquarius.

Let us open our hearts, our minds, our very beings to these inflowing new energies. These influences can and will cause humanity to identify with the group soul, as we rise from the Human Kingdom unto the Spiritual Kingdom.

The qualities that are the hallmarks of this evolution and our "entrance into heaven" are

1. Unselfish Service 2. Group Work 3. Self Sacrifice

This great cycle of the ages is like the cycle of the seasons, in a way; winter in reality does not necessarily end on a given day, but is part of a larger cycle. The energies of winter gradually recede as those of spring become enlivened.

We have naturally come to understand how to work with the seasons and their rhythms. On a far, far grander scale we must understand and become attuned to the energies and rhythm of the Ages.

As we know, attuning to the cycle of the seasons can produce optimum growth, and on this grand scale a conscious alignment with the energies of the Ages produces optimum growth or evolution for humanity.

          Jesus is the man who realized Christ Consciousness, the innate divinity in all men. In a book based on the Edgar Cayce's channeled readings, Christ Consciousness is described as an awareness each of us has, which can be "awakened" by our will, "of the soul's oneness with God."³⁹ Paramahansa Yogananda, the Hindu guru who came to America and whose book, Autobiography of a Yogi, inspired many Westerners to follow Hindu-based teachings, defines Christ Consciousness as "the universal consciousness, oneness with God, manifested by Jesus, Krishna, and other avatars,"and is the realization of "God immanent in all creation."⁴⁰ Unity's The Metaphysical Bible Dictionary expresses it more directly: "Christ is the divine-idea of man....Each of us has within him the Christ, just as Jesus had......The cosmic man...is the Christ....we are not persons, but factors in the cosmic mind. Reveal yourself to yourself by affirming ?I am the Christ, son of the living God'..."⁴¹ In one New Age bestseller, the author states that the greatest teaching of Christ was that we all have everlasting life, brotherhood in God, and that we have whatever we request.⁴²

                                        The Avatars

The return of Jesus should be viewed as perhaps "the reception of the Christ Consciousness in an individual."⁴³ When writing as an astrologer about Christ and Pisces related to the movie, "The Last Temptation of Christ," I suggested that this film may have represented the second coming of Christ through a film. I stated in the article that "Humanity has been on the cross...nailed to its own narrow vision, unwilling to sacrifice ego for the resurrection of divinity. Discovering the Christ within frees us to experience that divine nature; what Christ did physically, we must do metaphysically."⁴⁴

Contained within the Piscean Avatar is the New Age Christ as the one who awakens Christ Consciousness within. This Avatar also is a man, Jesus, who became the Christ. As astrologer Oken puts it:

"Let us make it absolutely clear that when we use the world ?Christ,' we do not necessarily mean Jesus. The Christ is the final step in the evolution of Man. It is a level of consciousness in which the individual has completely unified his Self with the Godhead. In this respect Buddha was a Christ as was Krishna as was Jesus."⁴⁵

As in most New Age thinking, Jesus becomes the Christ through attaining the Christ Consciousness, the awareness of the divine Self. Jesus and the Christ are separate because anyone who achieves this spiritual awareness of the inner Christ can become the Christ, or as pop singer Jewel puts it, "We all will be Christed when we hear ourselves say/ We are that to which we pray."⁴⁶

During the Age of Pisces, we were TOLD what to believe through religions, authority figures, dictators, etc. These powers have been losing ground and the shift is towards "power over self." This debacle of power will escalate now that the Age of Pisces has ended.

The Age of Pisces and the Age of Aquarius encourage us to look beyond the five senses and experience true living by relying on our guidance from within. Aquarius will be an Age when we truly realize that the love we show towards our brothers is the love we feel towards ourselves. This represents the  oneness of all things which fosters unconditional love.

Science and technology will be used to improve human and environmental situations on earth, and not for monetary gain. We will finally know the true meaning of "progress." In the Aquarian Age progress will represent decisions or activities where ALL things and people gain from the change. Sound impossible? It's not.

We will finally KNOW we are not "victims" of circumstances, but the "creators" of our experiences. We are also the ones to change our earthly situation. The focus will be on making our lives a heaven on earth.

The Age of Pisces opened a window to further our spiritual understanding. Now that Aquarius is taking hold, we just may come to know we are the Christ we've been waiting for.

"When is the end of the World'? - Alex, USA

               Well, this isn't a question i wanna answer 'cause... you know you will get the answer on other sites. But, since this issue is lifted that kids nowadays know revelation bible on internet -which is placed mostly for dramatic effects on the articles-  more than in the bible, i think i wanna see what my fingers got for this. (Yeah i dont write good in english. look! I even mistype the word 'dont'). I am going to make this question simple.

                Personally, the world never ends; at least for me. Seriously, the world is always renewed. The world had been broken by many kind of  chaos and disasters. For human in past, they would see them as an Armaggedon or stuff like that. But, look! we are here and that means there weren't doomsday or any Armageddon. It was just a nature change. Yes, maybe we'll die in next disaster but that's all. There'd be no end of the world.

                For instance Revelation 21 says: "Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more..." What does it mean ? It means that there will be another renew. But -maybe- this renew is gonna be the last renew untill The Day of Judgment be held or it's just an another evolution of humanity. So the world will still exist even when Jesus comes. It means there will be just something called as 'A Transition'.

               The transition itself means the transition of age. When the transition comes from one age to the next one, there will be such an evolution. Something will go and something -or maybe someone - will come. Jesus in Matthew 28:20 said : "Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands i have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age." But what is an age ? Most people think that age is just divided years of a time. But it's completely wrong.

              An age is the measurement approximately of 2.150 years vernal equinox (an equinox occurs when the plane of Earth's equator passes the center of the sun) requires to orbit from one zodiac constellation sign to the next one. Zodiac as we know is divided by twelve signs begun from Aries, followed by Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagitarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces. However, astrological ages proceed in the opposite direction which means Aries follows Taurus, Taurus follows Gemini and so on. All these constellations mean it needs approximately 25.800 years for Solar System to revolve in revolution.

             Let's look back of what Jesus said. He said He will always be with his disciples (and us too as His disciple; whose accept Him as a saviour) 'till the end of the age. There is no -even the another versions of bible don't think so- the end of the world. There is only will be the end of the age; the age where Jesus lived.

             Jesus is considered lived in the Age of Pisces although the Age of Pisces was started as Roman Empire fell. Look, there was an evolution when new age came. An evolution that changed human race (of course there are more than one evolution as a new age comes; but that is just an example). The evidences of His existency in age of Pisces; which means fish, a water sign were proved by Himself as He calling the fishermen as diciples, being on the sea for several times, calming the storm at the sea, helping the disciples catch fish, performing miracle in feeding people with fish, walking on water, his baptism in the water, and His talk with Nicodemus about being born again by 'water and spirit'.

             So, 'the end of the age' in Matthew 28 is the end of Pisces. After Pisces there will be the Age of Aquarius. Good news we are stepping in the age of Pisces, bad news because Aquarius is upon us. But, it isn't bad news anymore after we know that there will be even no Judgment Day in 'the end of the age'. The world is always renew and at the end as Revelation 21 had said the Heaven will be into - i like using 'into' word beside of 'down' - Earth; as beautiful as a bribe. The world will never be end.

             The question is when does the Age of Aquarius begin ? Trust me you can find out on the net with that sentence and find nothing but calculation of the scientists. Of course because Matthew 24:36 says : "But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."  :p :p

              But for me, the end of the world is like what written in Sketer Davis's song titled The End of The World; "It's ended when i lost your love."  XD

Analisis (Mengupas) Novel Paper Towns Karya John Green

                       

 Semenjak pertanyaan terakhir beberapa hari yang lalu, blog ini menjadi sepi karena ane hanya online setiap dini hari dan emang lagi gak ada yang nanya-nanya sih ke gmail ane. Yaudah deh daripada bosan mending ane kasih review dan analisis dulu nih gan tentang salah satu buku dari John Green yang cukup terkenal dan bentar lagi tayang versi filmnya. Paper Towns. Begitulah judul asli dari buku ini yang berarti Kota Kertas.

            So, bagi yang udah baca buku nya John Green yang Paper Towns itu dan belum mengerti maksud dari ceritanya, terutama metaforanya yang sangat memusingkan ane akan mencoba sedikit membantu kalian semua. Disini ane akan kasih pendapat juga mengenai kesan ane terhadap buku ini. Jadi, kalian tenang saja. Setelah membaca artikel ini dijamin kalian akan makin ga ngerti isi cerita nya… HAHAHA

            Well.. let’s start. Buku ini dimulai dari cuplikan kejadian yang akan terjadi di novel ini -seperti sebuah bocoran tentang apa yang akan terjadi di buku ini- yaitu di pagi hari setelah Q dan Margo berhasil menyelesaikan sebelas daftar panjang rencana pembalasan Margo -yang tujuan utamanya adalah memberikan Jase pelajaran. Bagi yang sudah baca buku ini.. well inilah salah satu petunjuk yang John Green berikan! John ingin agar kita bisa terus kembali disaat peristiwa seru di malam hari bersama Q dan Margo.

            Kita melompat ke malam itu. Melompat ke bagian tersulit untuk dipahami yaitu ketika Q dan Margo berada di puncak SunTrust Building. Dialog Q dan Margo tampaknya penuh dengan metafora. Q merasa jika Orlando dilihat dari kejauhan maka kota itu tampak mengesankan. Tempat-tempat yang biasa dikunjunginya, tempat-tempat yang dikunjunginya selama malam itu, kuldesak itu; semuanya ada di sana dalam satu atau beberapa lanskap dari tiap-tiap jendela. 

            Margo - dengan pengalamannya- mengatakan semuanya jelek jika dilihat dari dekat; termasuk dirinya di depan Jase. Q menepis. Margo mengalihkan pembicaraan. Lalu Margo mulai menjelaskan betapa palsunya kota itu. Kota yang menurutnya sekeras kertas dengan orang-orang di dalamnya yang menurutnya melakukan apa yang alam perintahkan; mendiami rumah, membakar masa depan, menenggak bir dsb. Tidak ada yang penting; semuanya bukan keinginan terdalam kita! Sekolah, kuliah, punya anak, menyekolahkan mereka, dan mati; bukankah itu seolah-olah seperti takdir setiap orang? Carpe Diem, menurut Margo, itulah hal yang terpenting. Sehingga jika seandainya kita adalah Q dan sedang tersedak di Panti Jompo untuk terakhir kalinya maka kita akan sangat bersyukur bahwa setelah melakukan hal yang ‘tidak penting’ selama hidup kita setidaknya kita pernah membobol Sea World bersama Margo Roth Spiegelman.

Di awal cerita , Margo berpikir bahwa Q adalah datar—"two dimensions as a character on the page and two different, but still flat, dimensions as a person" (3.22.93) (ane ngutip kalimat yang bukan di novel terjemahan nya gan. Biar keliatan pinter …hahahaha). Tapi di akhir novel ini kita semua tahu bahwa akhirnya Margo menyadari bahwa dialah seseorang yang bisa ‘dilipat’ tersebut.

Apa maksud nya ? Dia pikir Q tahu siapa dirinya sendiri. Seorang laki-laki tidak popular dan penakut yang bahagia di kota kecil nya, berfokus pada masa depan seperti kuliah dsb. Sedangkan dia? Dia ingin orang-orang melihat dia sebagai seseorang yang dia ingin orang lihat – sebagai seseorang yang popular, pacaran dengan seorang laki-laki berotot, kaya dan tampan, seseorang yang keren karena melakukan hal-hal yang penuh petualangan, dsb. Dia tidak menunjukan dirinya yang sebenarnya; menyukai lagu-lagu folk, buku, misteri dan puisi. Dia melipat dirinya terus menerus agar bisa menyesuaikan diri di dalam berbagai situasi di sekitarnya, dan dia –setelah tahu Jase selingkuh dari nya- lelah dengan hal tersebut. Pada akhirnya, dia mencari jati dirinya; pergi ke kota kertas (Agloe) dan tak akan pernah kembali.

Bagian pertama telah selesai kita bahas (ane padahal bahas sedikit doing, kan?..Hahaha..). But, wait.. apa yang selesai? Bagian pertama yang John Green beri judul The Strings ini sepertinya tidak membahas apa-apa mengenai senar; hanya beberapa kali kata ‘senar’ muncul di cerita. Tapi apa maksud Margo ketika dia berkata bahwa semua senar dalam diri Mr. Joyner -yang ditemukan tewas di taman perumahan mereka- telah putus? Apa maksudnya malam tersebut merupakan senar terakhirnya dan senar itu payah?

          Senar dalam buku ini maksudnya adalah cara seseorang mengungkapkan sesuatu yang tidak bisa ditunjukkan yang sedang terjadi pada dirinya. Seperti perasaan emosional. Sulit dimengerti.  Seperti contohnya jika kita merasa kaki kita pegal, sangat mudah menunjukkan kepada seseorang bahwa kaki kita kesemutan. Kita tinggal menunjuk bagian mana yang kesemutan atau memberi tahu rasa sakitnya, sangat mudah untuk dimengerti. Maksud ane, siapa sih yang ga pernah kesemutan? Berbeda dengan yang sifatnya emosional, seperti sakit hati. Semua orang memang pernah sakit hati tapi bagian mana yang sakit? Dengan apakah kita menunjukan bahwa kita sakit hati? Percayalah, dengan menangis pun orang takkan mengerti kenapa kita sakit hati. Disinilah kita perlu kiasan! Kita butuh sesuatu kalimat yang bisa mengungkapkan dengan mudah rasa yang tidak bisa diungkapkan tersebut.

       Tema pertama dari tiga symbol dari buku ini adalah bahwa dari "senar", yang bersifat internal psikologi setiap orang. Senar adalah apa yang menjaga setiap orang tetap sadar dan didasarkan pada waktu tertentu dan tempat. Ketika salah satu senar putus, dia secara bertahap terhapus dari keadaan normal. Metafora ini pertama membuat entrinya ketika Margo dan Quentin menghadapi mayat Robert Joyner. Hal ini mengatakan bahwa Joyner bunuh diri karena ia tidak bisa lagi menangani hidupnya setelah perceraian dan depresi. Tapi metafora itu paling berdampak pada Margo, yang senarnya mungkin telah mulai putus pada hari itu. Margo lah yang menarik metafora senar sebagai cermin untuk dirinya. Tekanan yang dia ditempatkan pada dirinya sendiri untuk menjadi dingin dan misterius terasing dia dari keluarga dan teman-temannya.           

         Mari  kita persingkat cerita ke bagian lain yang menurut ane banyak yang tidak mengerti. Bagian kedua, rerumputan. Inti nya adalah kejarlah apa yang kita mau di dunia ini, meski harus mempertaruhkan apa pun. Ini terbukti dari sifat ‘egois’ nya Margo yang memilih untuk meninggalkan semuanya karena dia tidak mau tetap berada di kota yang ia benci. Juga Ben yang mengejar Lacey terus menerus sampai akhirnya mereka berpacaran. Mencabut rumput sampai ke akarnya, akan terasa menyenangkan untuk ‘mengejar’ apa yang kita mau jika hidup kita sudah berakar; seolah-olah kita sudah tidak bisa ‘pergi’ dari hidup itu. Dalam Bagian kedua dari buku ini, Margo benar-benar menghilang dan Quentin bertanya-tanya apakah ia akan melihatnya lagi. Namun, Margo telah meninggalkan dia serangkaian petunjuk tentang keberadaannya.

         Bagian kedua dihabiskan bergulat bersama petunjuk Margo. Quentin mengejar Margo dengan bantuan teman-temannya, tetapi sementara itu, SMA berakhir. Quentin mengikuti serangkaian petunjuk yang salah, yang membuatnya semakin reflektif dan mendorongnya untuk secara bertahap menerima bahwa dia telah membuat Margo menjadi non-orang ajaib, "gadis kertas" dan bahwa dia mencintai seseorang yang mungkin tidak ada. Dia akhirnya memutuskan bahwa satu-satunya cara untuk mencari Margo adalah dengan memahami siapa dia. Sepanjang bagian kedua, Quentin bergulat dengan penggunaan Margo dari frase "kota kertas" di petunjuk nya. Akhirnya ia tahu bahwa kota kertas adalah kota palsu di peta yang kartografer pernah digunakan untuk mendeteksi peniru. Margo telah pergi ke kota kertas Algoe, New York.

Bagian ketiga dan terakhir adalah wadah. Tema terakhir ini adalah memahami alasan dan konsep seseorang lebih penting daripada memahami sesorang sebagaimana yang kita percayai dan kita ingini . "Adalah hal yang berbahaya untuk dipercaya bahwa seseorang lebih dari seseorang." Q selalu berharap dalam pencarian untuk menemukan Margo, sementara teman-temannya memang memahami dia tetapi tidak peduli. Margo merasa kosong dan melarikan diri karena dia tidak ingin menjadi "seorang gadis kertas di sebuah kota kertas".

Sangat disarankan membaca bagian wadah dari terjemahan aslinya. Karena novel terjemahan nya yang saat ini kurang menyentuh pemahaman kita. Seperti ketika percakapan mereka di bagian ini membahas tentang cara mereka memandang satu sama lain. 

        Inilah bagian yang paling sulit untuk dimengerti; MARGO SEBENARNYA JUGA MENCINTAI Q! Bukan karena dia setuju untuk berciuman melainkan karena Q nyata. Margo melihat bahwa malam itu ketika mereka melaksanakan serangkaian balas dendam Q menunjukkan sifat dan karakter aslinya. Dia bukan "Bocah Kertas" seperti yang selama ini dia kira. Dia bahkan menggambarkan Q dalam cerita misterinya sebagai seseorang yang pemberani dan heroic dan di dalam ceritanya dia jatuh cinta padanya. Namun, mereka berdua menyadari dengan menyesal bahwa cinta mereka didasarkan pada kepalsuan, dengan menjadi "bocah kertas" dan "gadis kertas." Margo pergi untuk melepaskan semua orang dari efek palsu, kepribadian publiknya. Quentin, bagaimanapun, tidak menyerah pada Margo. Mereka mengakui kasih sayang romantis mereka satu sama lain tetapi menyadari bahwa nilai-nilai mereka mau tidak mau memimpin mereka untuk berpisah dalam masa depan.

Setelah mereka berciuman, Q memberi kita baris terakhir dari novel:

       “Yes, I can see her almost perfectly in this cracked darkness.” (3.22.178)

        “Ya, aku bisa melihat dia hampir sempurna dalam kegelapan retak ini.”

Menatap ke arahnya mengingatkan kita ketika mereka saling menatap dalam kegelapan ketika mereka masih kanak-kanak. Dan baris terakhir membuat kita ingat baris lain dari sebelumnya dalam buku: Q mengatakan, "Keindahan Margo adalah semacam kapal kesempurnaan yang tersegel-uncracked dan uncrackable" (1.5.37). Tapi pada akhir novel, ia melihat bahwa ia tidak sempurna. Dia tidak uncracked dan uncrackable, dia dalam "kegelapan yang retak" (3.22.178). Dia bahkan mungkin adalah si kegelapan yang retak.

        Tapi ini tidak membuat Q takut. Ia tampaknya menerima dia apa adanya, bukannya mencoba untuk membuatnya menjadi sesuatu yang bukan diri Margo. Jadi sementara mereka mungkin berpisah, Q mungkin juga akhirnya menjadi teman sejati pertamanya.

          Moral dari cerita di buku ini adalah tidak ada yang benar-benar tahu siapa pun. Semua orang terhubung melalui rerumputan atau senar tak terlihat, tapi tidak ada yang benar-benar tahu siapa pun. Seseorang (yang kita pikir kita kenal) bisa saja memiliki banyak rahasia gelap atau menjadi pembunuh kapak. Anda bisa jatuh cinta dengan seseorang dan kemudian jatuh cinta lagi ketika Anda benar-benar tahu siapa orang itu. Hidup ini sepenuhnya terlalu banyak tentang masa depan dan tidak cukup tentang sekarang. Akhirnya, ketika kita sedang di tempat tidur dan sekarat , Anda pasti akan bersyukur bahwa Anda carped setidaknya satu diem. Jadi lakukanlah segera.

Well menurut ane pribadi setelah capek membaca buku yang menurut ane punya alur membosankan (terbukti ane ga sabar dan bolak-balik ke halaman belakang buku untuk melihat apakah Margo benar-benar ditemukan) dan capek juga ngetik review nya karena banyak yang belum ngerti. Hanya dialog antar Q dan dua teman-temannya yang menyelamatkan buku ini karena mereka sangat loyal dan lucu. Misteri menghilangnya Margo mungkin membuat kita penasaran tetapi petunjuk-petunjuk yang diberikan membuat si pembaca meringis karena mereka tidak mengerti petunjuk yang diberikan Margo (sapa sih anak jaman sekarang yang baca puisinya Whittman?) dan lama-lama mereka bosan karena mereka tidak mengerti. Si Om John Green menulis buku ini khusus remaja dengan gaya filosofis yang menurut ane sulit diterima dikalangan remaja yang kebanyakan cuman mikirin sesuatu yang enak-enak aja. Remaja sekarang idealismenya belum terkonsep; dan masih mudah dipengaruhi oleh berbagai macam budaya dan sosial.

Cara pandang Q yang bersifat lebih “normal” dibanding Margo menjadi nilai plus dari buku ini. Om John memang mengaku sengaja menjadikan Q sebagai sudut pandang orang pertama agar kita bisa memahami gagasan Q (yang salah) mengenai Margo. Q hanya mencintai gagasan dirinya sendiri mengenai Margo, bukan diri Margo seutuhnya (karena memang Q tidak pernah benar-benar mengenal Margo). Idealisme Margo tidaklah salah, tetapi juga tidak sepenuhnya benar. Kita yang terlahir di dunia ini memiliki peranan masing-masing. Ada yang menjadi anak seorang artis misalnya, yang membuatnya menjadi seorang artis (dan tidak kuliah; yang merupakan sesuatu yang orang biasa tuju). Ada juga yang menjadi seseorang yang kelaparan di Afrika sana. Bagaimana kita mengerjakan peran kita dan berdampak bagi sesama; itulah yang terpenting.

        Puisi 'If' adalah puisi yang dibuat oleh Rudyard Kipling yang didedikasikan untuk putra nya. Saya pribadi lebih suka membandingkan puisi ini dengan 'Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Night' nya Dylan Thomas untuk mendapatkan suatu keselarasan emosi-interaksi antar dua pribadi. Terjemahan puisi 'If' (Jika) yang menurut saya paling tepat kira-kira begini (ane ambil bagian akhirnya aja gan. Puisi nya panjang benerrrr):

    ... Jika kau bisa memaksa hatimu dan sarafmu dan uratmu
       Untuk melayani giliranmu setelah mereka lama pergi
       Maka bertahanlah ketika tidak ada apa-apa lagi padamu

      Masalahnya adalah bahwa walau ada banyak waktu ketika hal terbaik adalah mencoba dengan segala kekuatan kita dan tidak untuk menyerah, ada kesempatan lain, seperti Orpheus telah menemukan akibatnya, ketika ia dengan bijaksana menyerah dan mengikuti arus. Kadang-kadang ketika Anda mendapatkan apa yang Anda kehendaki, Anda masih ingin mendorong lebih jauh lagi (bener ga nih gan ? Haha ). Kadang-kadang satu-satunya jalan untuk mempertahankan sesuatu adalah dengan membiarkannya pergi. Seperti yang dikatakan Lao-Tzu, guru dari Konfusius :

       Karena yang terbangun mundur sendiri, ia melangkah maju
       Karena ia menyerah, ia mendapatkan
       Karena ia tidak mementingkan diri sendiri, ia tercukupi sendiri

       Serupa walaupun tidak sama, inilah juga yang dikatakan Khalil Gibran. Seperti yang selaras dengan bait kedua dari lagu 'Heaven Knows' nya Rick Price :
